BREWSTER - Rose Mary McKee, 79, Brewster, died Friday, March 17, 2006.

Mrs. McKee was born Rose Mary Aschenbrenner on March 7, 1927, in Ellis. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Shorty", in 1996.

Survivors include five sons, Jerry and Jim, both of Goodland, Jed of Lawrence, Jon of Brewster and Jason of Overland Park; three daughters, Judy Reid and Jolene Rush, both of Brewster, and Jana Kramer of Seneca; two brothers, Father Ralph Aschenbrenner of Belleville and Dr. Richard Aschenbrenner of Lawrence; a sister, Dorothy Stephens of Colby; 37 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Colby.

A vigil and rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel, 745 S. Country Club Road, Colby 67701.

Memorials may be made to the church or The Alzheimers Association, in care of Farmers Bank & Trust in Brewster or any Colby bank or the chapel.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
