Simon Hernandez
DINUBA- Simon Hernandez, a 65 year resident of Dinuba, died early today in a local convalescent hospital. He was 75. The Texas native married Lucy Medina July 7th 1937 in Visalia. He was a farmworker and a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Dinuba and the Sociedad Progresiva Mexicana in Selma. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Simon Hernandez of Madera and Robert Hernandez of Fresno; four daughters, Hope Macias of Sacramento, Alice Ramirez of Selma, Virginia Magana of Fresno and Esther Hernandez of Oakland; two brothers, Joe Hernandez of Fresno and Frank Hernandez of Mexico; one sister, Micaela Pulido of selma; 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Rosary will be recited at 7pm Friday in the Dopkins Chapel in Dinuba. Mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday in the St. Catherine's Catholic Church. The Rev. Dominic Franci will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba.
