Agnes Engstrand Hawkinson Trollen died Oct 19, 1994 at the Chisago Health Services C&NC.
Agnes was born to Gustaf and Ingeborg Engstrand on June 5, 1900 in Casselton, ND. Her father had immigrated from Sweden and her mother from Norway. Early in 1901 they moved from North Dakota to the Engstrand Farm, south of Lindstrom. There followed three sons: Roy, Victor and Clinton. They attended Boo School until the family moved to Pleasant Valley in 1913.
Agnes was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom and graduated from Osceola High School in 1918.
In 1922, she was married to Edwin Hawkinson from Pleasant Valley. They remained farming there until they moved to Pine City in 1936. Edwin died 6 weeks after the move.
She married Jack Trollen in 1948. Residing in Pine City 22 years and a widow again, she retired from First National Bank and moved to St. Paul where she lived the next 24 years. In 1992 she moved to Parmly Lakeview Apts in Chisago City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers and a daughter in law. Surviving are 3 sons: John of Fort Washington, Maryland, Richard (Grace) of Duluth and Ronald (Ellen) of Center City, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City on Sunday, October 23, 1994
