Death has entered the home of Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Cook and carried therefrom their beautiful daughter, Ina.
She was 16 years 11 months and 3 days old. This beautiful girl has been early called to the heavenly inheritance . She professed faith in Christ in early childhood and has a consistent member of Bethel Church ever since. Very lovely and gentle she has been and many aching hearts are left to mourn for this treasure now laid up in heaven.
Ina was sick only a short time. During her illness she was never heard to murmur, but bore her suffering with touching patience. Just before she died she quoted some beautiful verses of scripture and tried to sing that sweet song: "We shall know as we are known". To know Ina was to love her. She was always in her place on church day and Sunday School. Oh! how we miss her presence and sweet voice. But while we can not see her she is with the angels singing around the throne of God.
The funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Reverend John Eller in Bethel Church to a very large and sorrowing audience.
She was buried in the family graveyard near the church. Father, mother and sisters, weep not for Ina. She is now with Jesus waiting and watching for you. We should take her life as an example and prepare to meet her in that beautiful home where there will be no such thing as parting; instead peace and happiness forever. A Friend.
