William Thomas "Tom" Brown, 74, of Gahanna, died Wednesday, Nov 10, 2004, at his residence.
A graduate of the Ohio State University, he retired as an accountant from State Auto Insurance Co. Brown was a U.S. Air Force veteran and played drums in the Air Force Band.
Brown was a member of the West Lafayette Masonic Lodge No 602 for more than 50 years and was a 32nd degree Mason. He also was a member and former trustee of Mifflin Presbyterian Church.
A member of the Musicians Union, Brown was a longtime member of the Newtimers Band. He enjoyed playing drums throughout the Columbus area, especially at Christmas time for his "special" children.
Brown was preceded in death by his parents, David and Doris Brown; and brothers, David E Brown Jr and Harry R Brown.
Brown is survived by his loving wife of 43 yrs, Melissa Brown, devoted sons, Steve Brown of Winter Garden, FL, and Jeff (Janet) Brown of Germantown; brother, Richard H (Louise) Brown of Coshocton; grandchildren, Chelsea Brown, Jaryd Brown and Mitchell Kemper, and many nieces and nephews.
Brown was buried Saturday at Mifflin Township Cemetery in Gahanna following a fineral service at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel in Gahanna, with Pastor Stephanic Boaz officiating.
