David E Brown Jr., 68 of Kettering, formerly of West Lafayette, died Tuesday, June 27, 1995.

Born in Coshocton County, he was the son of the late David E and Doris P Brown of West Lafayette.

He graduated from Denison University and the Ohio State University College of Medicine.

He was in family practice for 13 years in West Carrollton and in allergy and immunology for 24 years.

He was a member of the Montgomery Co Medical Society, Ohio State Medical Society, American Medical Society, American Association for Clinical Immunology and Allergy-Fellow; American College of Allergists, Fellow American Academy of Family Physicians, Fellow Society for Clinical Ecology; American Board of Allergy and Immunology Pan American Allergy Society, First Lutheran Church; Dayton Bicycle Club, Rod & Real Club, American Legion Post 165 in Miamisburg, Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity; Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite; York Rite and Shrine.

He is survived by his wife Joan; two sons, Dr Michael Brown of Lewisburg, PA, and Scott Brown of Seffner, Fla; a daughter Rebecca Bohardt of Centerville; two brothers, Richard Brown of Coshocton and Thomas Brown of Gahanna; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday at 10:30 am at the First Lutheran Church 138 W First St, Dayton, with the Rev Richard Powell officiating. Burial will be at David's Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave, Dayton, Masonic services will be held at 5pm.
