He was for twenty years employed as a conductor on the Wabash railroad, leaving the service three years ago, owing to ill health. He had a large circle of friends in the Order of Railway Conductors, of which he was a member. He was regarded as a first-class trainman by his employers and fellow workmen. Two children, a son and a daughter survive.
