Jonas P. Rothrock, 89, of West Salem, died at 4:21 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren in rural Parkersburg.

Burial will be in Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery in rural Parkersburg.

Mr. Rothrock was born on January 8, 1914, in West Salem, the son of Clint L. and Ola (Koertge) Rothrock. He married Edna Upton on July 15, 1939, in Olney. She preceded him in death on September 7, 2001.

He was self-employed as a farmer and was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren.

Mr. Rothrock is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Goodwin, of West Salem; a son, Edward Rothrock and his wife, Jean, of West Salem; a sister, Martha Pool, of Olney; three grandchildren, Tony Goodwin and Craig and Eric Rothrock; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Goodwin, Autumn Novak and Katie Rothrock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, Charles, L.D., Johnnie and Frank, and four sisters, Betty, Dorothy, Mary and Esther.

Memorials may be made to West Salem Senior Citizens.
