Francis E. Rothrock, 84, of Parkersburg, died Saturday June 9, 2001 at his residence.

Funeral services at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren in Parkersburg with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Rothrock was born on August 26, 1916 in Edwards County, the son of Clinton and Ola (Koertge) Rothrock. He married Ruth Elizabeth Howard on August 7, 1938 in Edwards County. She preceded him in death.

He was a retired farmer, a 4-H leader of Edwards County, a member of the fair board of Edwards County and a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren in Parkersburg.

Mr. Rothrock is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Geiger and her husband, Mel of Springfield and Mary Dorney and her husband, Stanley of Mason; two brothers, L.D. Rothrock and his wife, Pat of West Salem and Jonas Rothrock and his wife, Edna of West Salem; a sister, Martha Pool of Olney; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Charles and John Rothrock, and four sisters, Elizabeth Dodson, Dorothy Bowers, Mary Bradham and Esther Halliquist.
