LD C. Rothrock, 83, of West Salem died Tuesday July 30, 2002 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Mr. Rothrock was born on October 22, 1918 in West Salem, the son of Clinton and Ola (Koertge) Rothrock. He married Patricia Baker in 1946 in Valparaiso, Ind. She survives.

He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. He served in the Army and received the Purple Heart. He was a self-employed farmer.

Mr. Rothrock is survived by his wife, Patricia Rothrock of West Salem; a son, Mark Rothrock and his wife, Kim of Parkersburg; five daughters, Vicki French and her husband, Richard of Omaha, Neb., Sidney Brinkley and her husband, Darrell of Olney, Alta Krajec of Albion, Karen Osmon of Allendale and Eldean Madden and her husband, Doug of Claremont; a sister, Martha Pool of Olney; a brother, Joe Rothrock of West Salem; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services at Walnut Grove Church in Parkersburg with burial in Walnut Grove Church Cemetery.
