Death visited the Roudebush family of this county twice within three hours Wednesday night. At 10 o'clock Wednesday night, George Miles Roudebush, an old resident of the county, died at the home of his son, Rev Walter Roudebush at Ossian, Indiana, and at 1 o'clock Thursday morning Mrs Rachel Roudebush died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Arthur Dunbar, nine miles south of the city on the Ninth Street road. They we cousins by marriage. George Miles Roudebush was also a life long resident of this county, until a short time ago, when he went to Ossian to spend the winter with his son. He was an industrious farmer and formerly resided near Concord. He was a highly respected citizen and the news of his demise will come as a shock to scores of friends. Surviving are his widow and one son, Rev Walter Roudebush. The body will arrive in Lafayette Friday afternoon and will be taken to Concord. Funeral services will be conducted from the Concord church at 10 o'clock Saturday morning. Rev R A Shumaker will be in charge and interment will be in the Conarroe cemetery.
