CULLOM - Marie L. Colclasure, 94, of Cullom and a resident of Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home, Bourbonnais, since 1989, died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday (June 14, 1998) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Cullom, Father Richard Brunskill officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Cullom. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Cullom, with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home, Bourbonnais, or St. John's Altar and Rosary Society.

Mrs. Colclasure was born Jan. 15, 1904, in Cullom, a daughter of Emma Koerner Puckett. She married Vasco H. Colclasure on May 26, 1924, in Cullom. He died March 19, 1981.

Survivors include two daughters, Corita Brown, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Jewell (Max) Geist, Corunna, Ind.; five sons, Durwood Colclasure, Houston, Texas; Ronald (Judy) Colclasure, Freemont, Ind.; Wayne (Margaret) Colclasure, Decatur, Ind.; Lester (Toni) Colclasure, Springfield; and Larry (Nancy) Colclasure, Kankakee; two sisters, Gretchen Womacks, Bourbonnais; and Ruth Massa, Lexington, Ohio; one brother, Duane Puckett, Ashkum; 29 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Idelle Propper; three brothers, Richard, James P. and Russell Puckett; one daughter-in-law, Bobbie Colclasure; and one son-in-law, Howard Brown. Also preceding her in death were a granddaughter, Cindy Treesh; and a grandson, Steven Colclasure.

Mrs. Colclasure lived in Cullom for almost all her life.

She was a 1923 graduate of Cullom High School. She taught in a country school near Cullom for one year before her marriage. She then was a homemaker and raised her family.
Mrs. Colclasure was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Cullom, and the Altar and Rosary Society. She also served as a scheduler for SHOWBUS in Cullom.
