MACKIE FERN PILCHER THOMAS

COLLINSVILLE — Funeral services for Mackie Fern Pilcher Thomas, 92, of Collinsville are set for 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Ricky Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Collinsville Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thomas passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Homestead of Collinsville.

Mackie Fern was born Nov. 13, 1918 in Collinsville to General R. and Jesse Dee (Brown) Pilcher. She was a Collinsville High School graduate and served in the U.S. Marines during WWII. Mrs. Thomas owned a beauty salon in Pennsylvania and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.

Mackie Thomas is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Ethel Mae Baker, Vita Lignum Tinsley, Leota Amanda Ballinger, Lewis Robertson Pilcher, Luther William Pilcher, David Oliver Pilcher, General Ralph and Julia Lee Barry and Jesse Darlene Pilcher Nall.

Visitation is planned for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday evening at Clement Keel Funeral Home.
