RITES ARE HELD FOR MRS. LIGNUM TINSLEY
Final rites for Mrs. Lignum V. Tinsley, 72, of 1337 Lindsay St., were held at 2
p.m. today in the First Baptist Church. Dr. Harry Roark officiated, followed by
interment in Collinsville Cemetery, directed by Geo. J. Carroll & Son.
Nephews served as bearers.
Mrs. Tinsley died Tuesday afternoon in Gainesville Memorial Hospital after a
long illness. She was a longtime Gainesville resident and a member of the First
Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of G.R. Pilcher and Jessie Dee Brown Pilcher.
Survivors are her husband, Paul Tinsley; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Jones of
Vernon and Mrs. James Parker of Garland; eight grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mmes. Ethel Baker of Wilson, Okla., Leota
Ballinger of Sulphur, Okla., Fern Thomas of Beaver, Pa., Julia Barre of Plano
and Darlene Nall of Pilot Point; four brothers, Lewis Pilcher of Gainesville,
D.O. Pilcher of Thackerville, Luther Pilcher of Collinsville and Ralph Pilcher
of Oklahoma City.
