Services for Luther William Pilcher, 75, of Rt. 1, Collinsville, will be Sunday
at 2 p.m. in the Vernie Keel Chapel with the Rev. Charles Hite of County Line
Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Collinsville Cemetery. Mr.
Pilcher died Thursday night in Gainesville Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept.
30, 1914, in Collinsville to G. R. and Jessie Brown Pilcher. He married Elsie
Pearl Robinson, May 17, 1935, in Gainesville; she preceded him in death June 8,
1987. Mr Pilcher was a carpenter with Joe Walter Lumber Company before his
retirement. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sons, Wayne Pilcher, Mikel Pete Pilcher and Rich=key Pilcher,
all of Collinsville; daughters Billie Watts of Bridgeport and Bonnie Patterson
of Collinsville; brothers David O Pilcher of Austin and Ralph Pilcher of
Gainesville; sisters Fern Thomas of Gainesville, Darlene Nall of Pilot Point and
Julia Berre O Plano; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation
is Saturday from 7 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home ..------------Daily Record
