Mrs Mary Sweatt, 79, died Saturday night at the Allen County Hospital where she has been a patient for the past 10 days.

Mrs Sweatt (note: never married) was born at Waxahachie, Tex but has made her home in Humboldt for the past 60 years.

She is survived by one son, George of Chicago (Note: baseball player from Humboldt); a brother, Arthur Sweatt, Humboldt, and one grandson. (William)

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Edward Brown in the Poplar Grove Baptist Church, Humboldt. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
