The Humboldt Union, Thurs. March 1, 1923:
BARNBY-RUSSELL
Miss Agnes Barnby, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Barnby, who live east of town, was united in marriage to Mr. D.S. Russell, of Polo, Mo., on January 31, the wedding ceremony being performed in Richmond, Mo. The young people are making their home in Kansas City.

Humboldt, May 6- Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Barnby Russell were held Wednesday night from the Newcomer's Funeral Home at Kansas City, with the Rev. Robbins, pastor of the Swope Park Methodist church in charge. The body was brought to Humboldt yesterday and graveside services were held at Mt. Hope cemetery with the Rev. C.F. Jenkins, pastor of the Humboldt Methodist church, in charge.
Agnes Barnby was born October 18, 1898 at Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of William and Lucy Barnby. She attended the Humboldt school. She was married to Dolphus Russell at Richmond, Mo., in 1922. A year later, they moved to Kansas City, where they have since resided. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include her husband, and her mother, of the home, one sister, Mrs. Jennie O'Dowd of Kansas City; two brothers, Harry Barnby, Noel, Mo., and George Barnby of Glendale, Arizona. Mrs. Russell passed away Sunday, May 2, following several weeks' illness.

Agnes's mother, Lucy had been living with her, after her dad's death. Lucy went to live with her youngest son, George in Arizona, after Agnes's death.
