Vont Shelton, 57, dies Tuesday; had lived in Pinedale
Vont Shelton. 57, Rock Springs, died suddenly of a heart condition at the Mountain Fuel Supply Company machine shop Tuesday evening. He had been employed by the machine shop for the past fifteen years.
Shelton was born July 24, 1900 in Heber City, Utah. He had been a resident of the Pinedale and Rock Springs area since 1924.
Survivors are his widow, Francis of Rock Springs; his mother, Mrs Amanda Shelton; two sisters, Mrs Clarence Peterson of Everett, Idaho, and Mrs H. M. Hansen of Gem, Idaho; and three brothers,
Albert and Diamond of Spokane, Washington, and Claire of Orem, Utah. Several nieces and nephew also survive
Tentative, funeral arrangements have been scheduled for11 a. m. Friday at the First
Congregational church in Rock Springs with the Rev. Douglas Wasson presiding.
After the funeral services the body will be brought to Pinedale for graveside services
and burial.
