The deceased was born in the town of Ledyard and had resided in Moravia for 27 years. He was a school commissioner for four years and had been justice of the peace of the town for the past 12 years. Mr. Peckham was a member of George B. Stoyell Post, G. A. R., and served with distinction in the Civil war with the famous One Hundred and Eleventh New York infantry. He enlisted in Auburn and was mustered out at Alexandria.
His wife, two sons, Charles Peckham of Elkhart, Indiana and Guy Peckham of Schnectady and one daughter, Kathrina of Montclair, N.J. survive. The funeral will be held from the family home Friday at 2 o'clock. Rev. G. B. Jorris officiating. Burial will be made in Indian Mound cemetery.

Moravia, Feb. 10.—The funeral of the late George Peckham was held at the family home in East Cayuga street at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. W. B. Jorris officiating. George B. Stoyell Post G.A.R. and the Ladies Circle attended in a body. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The bearers, comrades of Mr. Peckham, were Orson Clark, Steven Odell, James Stevens, Charles Caldwell, Wayne Lester and James Maltbie. Interment was made in Indian Mound Cemetery.
