William Mitzner
Geraldine--William Mitzner, commander of the Painter Bros. Post, Geraldine, was buried from St. Margaret's Catholic church in Geraldine. Veteran groups gave him a military funeral. Mitzner had been confined to the hospital in Fort Benton for two months.
He was born in Sidney, Iowa, and grew up on a homestead in Chouteau county. He served in World War II in the infantry. Before his last illness he was manager of a local elevator.
Surviving are the widow, Helen; three children, Ronald, Lois and Betty Ann; sisters and brothers.
