He was married to Catharine OVERHOLT in July 1851, and to this union were born ten children. The wife and three children preceded him to the better world. He was re-married to Elizabeth CUNNINGHAM in 1894 and she survives him.
He joined the church at an early age and lived a faithful, consistent Christian life. He died as he lived, with a perfect faith in Christ and a better life to come, and often expressed himself as being willing, and only waiting, to be called home. He leaves a wife, seven children, forty-eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other relative and friends to mourn his departure. He leaves a good name to all the world and a world all the better for his having lived in it.

We wish to express our thanks to our many friends who so kindly sided us in the sickness and death of our loving father, George W. HUMERICKHOUSE. THE CHILDREN.
