OLA FREEMAN

Ola Story Freeman of Counce died Friday Jan. 31, at Hardin County Nursing Home at the age of 103 years, 4 months and 25 days. She was born Sept. 6, 1893 in Alabama, and she was the daughter of the late James and Annie Moore Story. In 1912, (09 Aug 1912) she was married to Henry Franklin Freeman who preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1927. She was a homemaker. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Shackelford Chapel with Eddie Alexander officiating. Burial was in Center Hill Cemetery. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Annie Franks of Savannah; three sons, Thomas Edgar Freeman of Savannah, Clyde Freeman of Jackson and Glen Freeman of Bridgeview, Ill.; a granddaughter she had raised, Mary Ann Freeman Surratt; eight other grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Willie, Jim H. and Hubert Freeman.
