She was united in marriage to Taylor Alexander Franks, who preceded his wife in death on October 6, 1994.

Mrs. Franks was a sales clerk for Woolworth Department Store in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Franks loved to bake, work crafts and piece quilts.

She departed this life on September 26, 2014 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 96 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Mrs. Franks is survived by one brother, Clyde Freeman of Jackson, Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Hubert, Willie, Jim, Thomas and Glen Freeman.
