Funeral services for Mr. Omer D. Haile, 83, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Haile died Thursday, Oct. 18 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and a member of Livingston Church of Christ.
Born August 29, 1924, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Willie T. and Evie (Anderson) Haile. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rozelle Kirby; and 2 brothers-in-law, Earnest Long and Preston Kirby.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Haile of Livingston; a daughter, Brenda Cook of Asheville, NC; a sister, Olene Long of Gainesboro; and a grandson, Rob Cook of Cookeville.
Pallbearers were Andrew Long, Jerry Long, Tim Long, Kenneth Kirby, Phillip Kirby, and Bob Cook.
