Anthony Carrabis of Melrose died Friday, Jan. 22, at Melrose Wakefield Hospital after a long illness. He was 79.
He was the husband of the late Gemma (Gagliardi) Carrabis.
Mr. Carrabis was born & brought up in Everett. He lived in Melrose the past 46 years. He worked as a plumber for Widden Memorial Hospital in Everett, for many years before retiring
in 1966.He was a WW II US Army veteran. He was also a member of Most Blessed Sacrement Church, Greenwood.
Mr. Carrabis is survived by daughters Catherine Carrabis of Melrose & Rosemary Goodwin of Tewksbury; brothers James Carrabis of Melrose, Joseph Carrabis of New
Hampshire, John Carrabis of Saugus & Alfred Carrabis of Lowell; sisters Camilla Barrasso of Melrose, Florence Gagliardi of Chelmsford, & Lillian Riley of Needham also many nieces &
nephews.
A funeral mass was held Jan.25, at the Most Blessed Sacrement Church in Wakefield.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
