Catherine (De Vino) Carrabis of Melrose died on October 7th at the Melrose Care Center after a long illness. She was 98.
Mrs. Carrabis was born in Italy & lived in Melrose since 1947.She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary D.A.V. chapter 115 in Saugus. Mrs. Carrabis was a homemaker.
She was the wife of the late Rocco Carrabis, She was the mother of James R.Carrabis,Anthony Carrabis, Carmella Barrasso, Ann I. Infurna, all of Melrose, Joseph Carrabis of Manchester,
NH, John Carrabis of Saugus, Alfred Carrabis of Lowell, Florence Gagliardi of Luenberg & Lillian Riley of Needham.
She is also survived by 19 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren & five great great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was said in the Church of the Incarnation on Tuesday, Oct.12th with burial at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
Memorial contributions in Catherine's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute, 44 Binney St. Boston.
