Born April 26, 1946, in Gaithersburg, he was the son of the late Maurice Theodore and Mary Virgie Duvall Poole. He was the husband of Brenda Marie Nickoles Poole.
He was a butcher and meat cutter from age 16 until the time of his death. He was the owner and operator of Sam's Deer Processing. He enjoyed working in his garden, his beach house, boating and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Charles "Sam" Poole Jr., of Taylorsville, and Kevin Brian and wife Heather Poole, of Louisville; a grandson, Kevin Brian Poole Jr.; siblings Hallie Martin, Ethel and husband Howard Morrison, Doris and husband Ralph Sprague, Maurice Poole, William and Judy Poole, Ernest and Georgia Poole, Robert Poole, John and wife Dorothy Poole, Catherine Reaver, Wanda Smith and companion Aldo Baldwin, and Evelyn "Maggie" and Arch Muller; a brother-in-law, Charles Will Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia "Sissy" Will.
A funeral service was held at the Burrier Queen funeral home. Entombment was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
