Born to Peter and Maud Sylvia Eyman Friedrich, he married Dorothy Heater on May 25, 1934, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Lee (and Sandy) of Morton; one brother, Hulete of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Winifred) Hurley of Havana and Mrs. Carroll (Ruth) Blessman of Bath; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc. at the Morton Parts Plant, retiring in 1971 as a supervisor. He then worked for Roecker Hardware for six years. He also did woodworking and refinishing.

He was a member of Morton United Methodist Church.

He also was a member of Havana Masonic Lodge 88.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
