Baby Peter is buried with her

Irma Leola Neikirk, beloved daughter of Peter and Sylvia Maude Friedrich, was born in Quiver township, Mason county, Ill., October 31, 1901, and departed this life at the St. Francis hospital in Peoria, Ill., March 24, 1934, at the age of 32 years, 4 months, and 24 days, under the constant care of a skilled nurse and the best of medical aid, and everything that loving hands could do was done.

She grew to young womanhood in the community in which she was born, and attended the Havana High school, graduating with the class of 1921. She was an excellent student and following her graduation, she taught the Quiver school in Havana township for three years.

In December, 1922, she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized in the Central Christian church at Havana, Ill. by the Rev. N.L. Collins.

On December 30, 1925 she was united in marriage with Harley Earl Neikirk, with the Rev. N.L. Collins officiating. To this union was born two sons, namely: Harley Friedrich Neikirk, now six years of age, and the infant son, little Peter Irvin, who passed away after only a few short hours in this earthly presence on March 24. He accompanied his mother to their Heavenly home. Immediately after the marriage of the young couple they moved to Danville, Ill., where they resided until last May, when they returned to the home in which she was born and resided there until the time of her departure.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and little Junior, her father, Peter Friedrich, her loving mother having preceded her to that Heavenly home April 12, 1922, and five sisters, Hilda B. of Havana, Neila, Alma B., Winifred Louetta and Ruth Friedrich at home, four brothers, Arthur, Clyde C., Henry G., and Hulet, at home. Also a host of other relatives.

Burial was on the family lot in Laurel Hill cemetery, with the Niederer funeral service in charge.
