Peoria, IL - Charles W. Paul, age 83, of Peoria, passed away on June 27, 2011 at Bella Vista Care Center in Peoria Heights.
Charles was born on November 8, 1927 in Peoria, Illinois to George W. and Catherine Luella (Bennett) Paul Sr. He married Kitty Hyde in 1952. He later married Joyce Carey on September 7, 1997 in Peoria County.
Charles is survived by his wife, Joyce of Peoria; five daughters, Sandra Paul of Peoria, Illinois, Charlott Lemons of Missouri, Linda, Kathy Price of East Peoria and Sheri Hulin of Peoria, Illinois; several grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rebecca, Nancy and Rose; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Tiny.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, four brothers and two sisters.
Charles served in the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters 627 as well as the Neighborhood House and Meals on Wheels. Charles enjoyed playing shuffleboard and loved country music and dancing.
Cremation rites were accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
