She was born May 20, 1931, in Peoria to George and Catherine (Bennett) Paul. She married Donald Grant in Peoria on Jan. 27, 1951. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1989.
Surviving are six children, Jeanette (David) Taylor of Creve Coeur, Donald P. Grant Jr. of East Peoria, Ronald Grant of Texas, Sharon Stokes of East Peoria, Thomas Grant of East Peoria and Cynthia Sue (Ed) Dunn of Mackinaw; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Connor; and special friend, Patty Waldron.
Emma Mae worked as a nurse's aide at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center for 33 years before retiring in 1993.
She loved to sew, play bingo and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
