Fletcher - William Glenn Wilson, 79, of Route 2 , Fannings Bridge Road, died Saturday , Dec. 31, 1994, in an Asheville health care center. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Rosco and Laura Rebecca Smart Wilson and was a World War II veteran. He was retired from the N.C. Highway Department and was a member of Hendersonville VFW Post 5206. He attended Fannings Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Grace Turner Wilson, sisters, Lorene Talley of Highlands and Clara Smith of Lillington; brothers, David and Johnny Wilson of Fletcher and Lester “Boots” Wilson of Arden. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Fannings Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Waldrep officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home.
