Burgenland history: In 1043 a peace treaty between Henry III and King Samuel Aba of Hungary fixed the western border of Hungary along the Leitha and Lafnitz rivers, among others. The territory of the present-day Burgenland remained the western border-zone of Hungary until 1920. The demise of the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy occured in 1918 and World War I set the date of Burgenland's official unification with Austria as August 28, 1921.

Matthias Deutsch (born 1794) is the nearest ascertainable owner of House 77, street 4. He is the son of George Deutsch and Maria Graisy (Maria may be the daughter of Michael Graisy).

Matthias Deutsch (born 1794) married Anna Unger in 1816. Anna is the daughter of Michael Unger of house 50. Matthias died in 1864 in house 63. Matthias and Anna had the following children documented at house 77:

- Eva Deutsch married Johann Schwarzbauer (son of Johann Schwarzbauer of haus 75, Wallern) in 1837.
- Nikolaus Deutsch married Anna Deutsch (from Pamhagen) in 1848.
- Josep Deutsch married Maria Bauer (daugther of Matthias Bauer) in 1861.

The Deutsch family left this house before the 1864. Josef Deutsch went to House 82, he emigrated to America after 1875.

- Michael Deutsch born 1865.

Josef and his family immigrated to America, probably in 1876.
