Anna is the daughter of Newton Crawford and Mary Jane Redman Westfall. Being their first born.

Anna married Edmund Wilson Chase as a teen, the son of the County Judge of Gosper County, Nebraska. To this union there were 8 known children born to them.

They are:

Frank Eugene Chase (1885-1970)
Hazel Inez Chase Compton Griffin (1888-1976)
Grace Mary Chase Carpender (1892-1973)
Amy Edna Chase (1893-1893)place of burial unknown
Ethel Lucille Chase Evans (1895-1966)
Bessie M. Chase Robinson (1899-1930)place of burial unknown
Edmond Mason Chase (1900-1901)place of burial unknown
Howard Henry Chase (1902-1985)

Her frist two children were born in Nebraska, with the remaining 6 being born in Colorado, most in Colorado Springs. They moved back to Nebraska by about 1910.

Their oldest son, had listed on WWI draft form he was born in 1890. Census records from before 1917 confirm that year. He did go into and remained in the military, and all census and military records after(plus headstone) have birth year of 1885, but same day and month. So it is truly unknown if Edmund had been a widower with baby when they married, or if Anna is his true mother. I'm still checking records, since doubtful that two Frank Eugene Chases, were born on same day and month, but 5 years apart.

Per family history it is unknown if Anna and Edmund moved back to Colorado where some of the children were, or if just she had or if she was back visiting at the time of her death.

Edmund married again, before 1930 a Minnie E. Hurn Fuller Myer in Garfield, Phelps, Nebraska, a twice widowed woman with 6 children. The 1930 census showed only one of her children still at home, with them. At some point they split up, or divorced, because she was in Nebraska in 1940 census listed as a widow. He on the other hand was in Missoui living with or near he and Anna's daughter Hazel. He died in 1948 after being in hospital for two weeks, and is buried near daughter Hazel and her husband. Minnie died in 1956 in York, Nebraska, with the last name of Chase.

Anna is the oldest sister to my husbands Grandmother.

Note: I had made a memorial for her with no place known for burial (except we thought) in Nebraska, just a few months after this memorial was posted. I had her name in reverse. She had always gone by Anna. But most of family had first name of Amy, so that is why didn't know I had made a duplicate (other now deleted).
Many thanks to Ron for putting her in my care, so some what of a bio could be written and that she could be linked properly with her family.
