ASTORIA - Freida I. Hopping Allen, 86, of 407 N. Hebard, Knoxville, formerly of Astoria, died at 9:23 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Astoria to Oliver ''Dick'' and Edna E. Brewer Hopping.
Surviving are one daughter, Toni O'Brien of Weldon; one brother, Dayne (and Mildred) Hopping of Knoxville; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
She had been a business owner.
She showed Western Class and Parade Class horses.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Chapel Cemetery. Cliff Parry will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
