Galesburg - Ada F. Lawrence, 84, of 550 E. Carl Sandburg Drive died at 6:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at Seminary Manor.

Born Dec. 14, 1914, in Ipava to Oliver and Edna Brewer Hopping, she married Max E. Lawrence on Sept. 15, 1946, in Galesburg. He survives.

Also surviving are one brother, Dayne Hopping of Knoxville; one sister, Freda Allen of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

One son and one brother preceded her in death.

She was a secretary for the State Rehabilitation Center in Galesburg, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galesburg.

Cremation will be accorded. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tom Larsen will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
