Thelma Foster, 88, of New Florence, died at 12:05amon Thursday, December 23, 2004, at the New Florence Nursing and Care Center in New Florence.

Thelma M. Foster was born July 18, 1916, to Forrest E. and Myrtle (Craighead) Adams of Callaway County. Thelma was united in marriage on August 8, 1936 to James Ralph Foster who preceded her in death on May 4, 1984. The Fosters lived their entire married lives in the New Florence Area. To this union three children were born; James Richard, Stephen and Lois Jean. Mrs. Foster was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Montgomery City.

Mrs. Foster is survived by two sons, Jim (Mary) Foster of Montgomery City and Steve (Susan) Foster of Wright City, six grandchildren, Virginia Vinton, Cindy Davis, Eddie Foster, Cathy Griesbauer, Maria Stille and Jenny Foster, fifteen great-grandchildren and many friends.

Mrs. Foster was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Lois McCubbin, granddaughter, Linda Beaudoin and grandson, Tim Foster.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, December 27, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. The Reverend John B Brumagen will officiate and interment will be in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, North of Montgomery City. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00pm on Sunday, December 26, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Faith Baptist Church or to the Wycliffe Bible Translators/Vinton Account.
