Myrtle Craighead was a daughter of Patrick N. Craighead and Julia A. Mattox. She was a granddaughter of Mark Anthony Craghead and Caroline C. Payne, and, Charles Mattox and Nancy Ashworth. She was my 4th cousin twice removed.
On Sep. 19, 1915 in Callaway Co., Missouri, she married Forrest E. Adams. He was a son of Thomas Adams and Minnie Backer.
Myrtle's twin sister, Myrle Craighead, married Forrest's brother, Oscar Adams.

Mrs. Myrle Craighead Adams, 90, of Fulton Died Monday, May 18, 1987, at the Heartland Nursing Home in Fulton. She was born in Callaway County on December 30, 1896, the daughter of Patrick Newton Craighead and Julia Amanda Mattox Craighead.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 21, 1987, in the Debo Golden Rule Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Allen Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
She was married to Oscar Lee Adams on January 17, 1915, in Callaway County. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1968.
Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Stanly (Lucille) Hawkins of Wellsville, Mo.; five sons: Robert Thomas, Richard Glenn, and Martin Lee, of all Fulton, Odie C. of Independence, Mo., and Kenneth Wayne of Hartsburg, Mo.; a twin sister, Mrs. Forrest (Myrtle) Adams of Fulton; 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Curtis; three brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fulton.
