Was injured in the The Meuse-Argonne Offensive and later died of his injuries sustained during battle. He was only 27 when he died. Originally buried in Exermont, Ardennes, France. Then was disinterred and reburied on June 9th 1919 in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery in village of Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Meuse, France. Then disinterred for the final time on July 12th 1921 and shipped back to the United States. Went through Antwerp and Hoboken, New Jersey and came to final resting place of Arlington National Cemetery on August 20th 1921. He is grave # 3462 Eu. Wh. Sec.

Gravesite Details

Was not offically buried in Arlington National Cemetery until 1921. Note: Headstone is wrong. Noble was in Company A, 3rd Machine Gun Bn. (I believe 1st Division).
