Parents: Matthew and Mary E. Sooter
The Mountain Wave, April 29, 1899:
'At 8:15 o'clock yesterday morning Mrs. Hester Dugger, after an illness of two weeks, passed away to that bourne from which no traveler returns. The cause of her demise was albuminaria trouble. Mrs. Dugger was only 22 years of age, and had been married but four months, being married to Mr. Helmer Dugger on last Christmas day. The deceased was the beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Sooter, one of the oldest and most highly respected families in the county. The deceased was a devout member of the Methodist church and a true Christian. The body was laid to rest in the graveyard here yesterday afternoon, and a host of friends were there to bid the last sad farewell. The bereaved parents and husband have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in this their hour of affliction.
