ROY ALLEN
ADA — Services for Roy Henry Allen, 80, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at High Hill
Baptist Church, Mike Hanks officiating with the assistance of Larry
Montogomery and Ernest Staggs. Burial follows at High Hill Cemetery. Family
and friends will be recieved from 6-9 p.m. tonight at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen died April 28, 2007 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born at
Wynnewood May 18, 1926, to P.A. and Annie Allen.
He married Irene Homer Feb. 22, 1945.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. During his tour of
duty he served in the Philippines, Luzon and Japan.
Mr. Henry retired from OK Cementing Company after more than 40 years of
employment and also spent a short period of time as a farmer in Keota.
He his wife lived at Lake Eufaula for 10 years before returning to Ada in
2002. He was a member of the High Hill Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents P.A. and Annie Allen, brothers Pete,
Harrison, and J.C., sisters Blanche Cheek, Edna Burns, Lena Brown, Suzi, Lana
and Loni Allen, and grandson Alan Andrews.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Irene Homer Allen, of the home;
daughters, Mary "Hopper" Delozier and husband Chester, Ada, Annie "Vickie"
Andrews and husband Stan, Pampa, Texas; sons, Roy and wife Cindy, Loma Linda,
Calif., Peary and wife Vickie, Lakeland, Fla., Alvin "John" and wife Debbie,
Ada, William "Dink" and wife Cheryl, Austin, Texas; brother Harold Alen, Ada;
sister, Sylvia Simpson, Eloy, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren, Lisa, BB, Kim,
Christie, Mark, Michelle, Megan, Tammy, Tracy, Jered, Misty, Jennifer, Jeremy
and Jamae; 28 great-grandchildren, Candice, Courtney, Travis, A.J., Aren,
Ashland, Marissa, Shelby, Josh, Julie, Dalton, Baylee, Derek, Drew, Tanner,
J'Dyn, Courtnie, McKinize, Austin, Codey, Brooklyn, Kennedy, Braden, Ashley,
Colton, Shae, Hunter and Dylan; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Bearers are his grandsons, Mark Allen, Travis Cowan, BB Delozier, Jeremy
Allen, Tracy Allen, and great-grandson, Codey Cooper. Honorary bearers are
great-grandsons, A.J., Aren and Ashland Delozier, Josh Anglin, Dalton Lewis,
Derek and Drew Wishon, Tanner and J'Dyn Andrews, Austin Allen, Braden Clark,
Colton Allen, Hunter and Dylan Blankenship, and grandson, Jared Allen.
