Services for Sylvia D. Simpson, 89, Eloy, Arizona, are 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at J. Warren Funeral Services Chapel, Casa Grande, Arizona. Gary Minton will officiate the service. Burial follows at Eloy Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Simpson died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at her home. She was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on Oct. 1, 1920.

She and her husband, Thornton "T.R." Simpson, moved to Eloy Jan. 15, 1949.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.R; daughter, Janie; son, Darrell; granddaughter, Kelly; her parents, Perry and Annie Allen; five brothers, Pete, Harrison, J.C., and Henry; and three sisters, Edna, Blanch and Lena.

Survivors include six sons, Jim Simpson, Ted Simpson and David Simpson, all of Gilbert, Dan Simpson, of Casa Grande, Louis Simpson, of Chandler, and Steve Simpson, of Detroit, MI; five daughters, Nancy Claxton, of Moreno Valley, CA, Carol Lamb and Patty Guadian, both of Eloy, Peggy Gross, of Sherman, TX, and Teresa Cordeiro, of Chandler; 25 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Simpson was active in First Southern Baptist Church for more than 50 years.

Visitation services will be Thursday, Feb. 25, from 6-8 p.m., J. Warren Funeral Services, Casa Grande.
