He was also a Driver for the Cy-Fair Independent School District. Loyd is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Poe; children, Ann Kucera and husband Mike and Clay Poe; grandchildren, Hillary Hiler and husband Aaron and Brennan Kucera; brothers, Bill Poe, James Poe and wife Margaret; a special mother-in-law, Mildred Goode; sister-in-law, Mary Moilan and husband, Don of Lamasa, TX; brothers-in-law, William Bradley, Corkey Good, Nicky Good and wife Marla; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 30th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 31st at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Pkway, Houston, TX 77038 with Pastor Don Lee of Metropolitan Baptist Church officiating. Loyd will be laid to rest in the Houston National Cemetery.
