Billy Ray Poe, 77, of Amarillo, formerly of Bandera and Lamb County, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield with the Rev. Tracy Spencer, pastor of Follow-Thru Fellowship Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.

Mr. Poe was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Flat to Benjamin and Zona Mae Holcomb Poe. He married Norma Reed on Feb. 10, 1953, in Lamesa.

Survivors include a son, Brett Poe of Bandera; three daughters, Raylene Gohlke of Blue Springs, Mo., Doylene Wischkaemper of Littlefield and Melody Hesse of Canyon; a brother, James Poe of Muskogee, Okla; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or a favorite charity.
