Cathryn Layshot, 78, of Albany passed away Friday morning at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.

Cathryn was born in Elbow Lake, Minn., to Jack and Eunice (Parson) Lenox. She grew up and attended school in Albany; and at the age of 16, married Glenn Dryden. They divorced in 1962 and Cathryn married Eulan Layshot in 1968.

Camping was a favorite activity as the family grew up. Cathryn enjoyed all of her time with family, including various activities of the grandchildren through school and sporting events. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting and singing.

Faithfully serving the Lord, Cathryn was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was a strong prayer warrior and servant of the Lord, always letting His will be a dominant influence on her life.
