Surviving are his wife, Rita Osborne Aker of Atkins, Virginia. Two daughters and one son-in-law, Angela and Ricky Burnett of Wytheville, Virginia, and Rebecca Aker of Atkins, Virginia. Four sons and three daughters-in-law, Richard and Crystal Aker, Gregory and Paula Aker, Donnie Aker all of Atkins, Virginia, and Mike and Elizabeth Aker of Sugar Grove, Virginia. Two brothers and sisters-in-law, Waymon and Janice Aker of Saltville, Virginia, and Glenn and Patricia Aker of Goose Creek, South Carolina. Father and mother-in-law, Garnett and Louise Osborne of Marion. Two special friends, Joe Tuell of Fisherville, Virginia, and Kirby and Jane Hancock of Atkins, Virginia. Eleven grandchildren and two special dogs, Sassy and Pooh.
Funeral Services will be at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Roger Frost, the Rev. Frank Bauman and the Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Lawn Cemetery.
