She was born in Pulaski County, Va. on January 3, 1923, a daughter of the late Harry Norwood Hitchings and Iva Jewell Akers Hitchings. She was the widow of Lt. Col. Benjamin F. Gregory, USAF Ret. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Funeral services and burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements by Simpson-Tharp Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd.
