MR. ECCLES FOUND DEAD
Body Of Greenwood Man
Discovered Saturday Lying In Garden

GREENWOOD, May 21—Stricken with an attack of coronary occlusion, Albert C. Eccles, 83 years of age, was found dead about 11 o'clock Saturday morning lying on the ground in the garden at the home of his nephew, Kyle Eccles, on North Madison avenue.

Mr. Eccles told Dr. Arthur W. Records, coroner of Johnson county, that his uncle had eaten a good breakfast and then went out in the yard to cut grass and weeds. He apparently had gone on into the garden.

About 11:30 o'clock, the younger Mr. Eccles was cutting grass elsewhere in the yard and decided to go to the back of the house to see if his uncle was all right. "I soon found him, apparently dead, on the ground in the garden", Mr. Eccles told the coroner.

The elder Mr. Eccles' health had been only fair in recent months and he had been under the care of a physician.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Burkhart funeral home here by the Rev. A. L. Miyat, pastor of the Presbyterian church, and interment followed in the Greenwood cemetery.
