CECIL, (Special) -- Funeral services were held yesterday at Oshkosh for Mrs. Luke Atherton, 72, who died at her home there on Monday and the body was brought to Cecil for interment at the Bierbaum cemetery.
Mrs. Atherton was born in Germany and came to America with her parents when she was but a small child. The family made their home in the town of Washington where Mrs. Atherton lived for the greater part of her life. During the past thirty years she has lived in Oshkosh.
Survivors are a brother, Charles Bartels of Cecil, five sisters, Mrs. Christ Diedrich of Shawano, Mrs. Wm. Lieskau of Menominee, Michigan, Mrs. Tina Sweedy of Marinette, Mrs. Bernard Prahl and Mrs. Julius Marohl of the town of Washington. She also leaves three grand children and two great grand children.
