Mrs. Richard Karstadt of Cecil passed away at ther home Monday morning at six thirty after an illness of about a year.
Mary Bartles was born in the Town of Washington in 1876 and was married at Cecil to Richard Karstadt about 1892. The young couple made Cecil their home after their marriage and have lived there ever since. To this union seven children were born, Rose, now Mrs. Nels Frederickson of Neillsville, Helen, now Mrs. Aug. Kaler of Cecil, Alvina, now Mrs. Geo. Ehlert of this city, Alma, now Mrs. Hansen of Pulcifer, Wanda, Mrs. John Rock of Mar-; twin sons at home, Theodore and Walter.
One brother and six sisters also survive, Charles Bartels of Cecil, Mrs. Julius Marohl and Mrs. Bernard Kroll of Cecil, Mrs. Charles Sweedy and Mrs. Wm. Leiskau of Marinette, Mrs. Hugh Atherton of Oshkosh and Mrs. Chris Dietrich of this city and 24 grand children.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at one-thirty at the Lutheran church of Cecil.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lieg, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Dietrich, and Mrs. Catherine Sperberg of this city will attend the services.

Kirche in Cecil durch Pastor Recht das Begräbnis von Frau Richard Karstadt statt, die am voraus gegangernen Montag nach längerem Leiden im Alter von 56 Jahren gestorben war. Es überleben irhen Tod von näheren Verwandten, der Gatte und sieben Kinder: Walter zuhause, Theodor und Frau [Rose] Nels Fredrickson in Curtis, Frau Amanda Rockman [Wanda Rock] in Marinette, Frau Alvina Ehlert in Shawano, Frau [Alma] Charles Hansen in Green Valley und Frau [Lena] August Köhler in Cecil.
